Foreign Policy for America endorses Congressional candidate Jirair Ratevosian for California’s District 30

Jirair for Congress Reports Growing List of Endorsements From Foreign Policy Organizations and Leadership In Race For California’s District 30

LOS ANGELES (February 15, 2024) – Dr. Jirair Ratevosian, progressive Democratic candidate running to represent California’s 30th district, announces a strong roster of endorsements from nationally recognized foreign policy leaders and organizations.

Foreign Policy for America (FP4A), an organization supporting policies that keep America out of world conflicts, recently added its endorsement to the already stacked bench of supporters including President and CEO of U.S. Global Leadership Coalition Liz Schrayer, former President of the American Jewish World Service Ruth Messinger, former Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle, and Armenian American activist and entrepreneur Armen Orujyan.

The endorsements are a key indicator of Jirair’s experience as a global leader and highlight the dedication necessary to address today’s global challenges. More than ever, Americans need leaders with federal experience to foster more peace, security, and a diplomacy-led approach to advance US foreign policy. Jirair is the only candidate in California’s CA-30 race with the experience and skillset to address the deep division in Congress, advance progressive values on the federal level, and serve as a fierce defender of human rights locally and nationally.

“Jirair is an extraordinary leader – a lifelong public servant, a respected expert in public health, and someone who is completely devoted to serving this community,” said Andrew Albertson, Executive Director of Foreign Policy for America. “He has a rare ability to deliver results, moving from ideas to action. We saw that from his days working for Chairwoman Lee, and we saw it when he advised the State Department on global AIDS relief efforts. With all his extraordinary experience, he would walk into Congress and immediately make an impact as an advocate for his community and for peace and justice around the world. For all those reasons, we are very proud to endorse Jirair as the best possible representative for the 30th District.”

In response to the endorsement, Jirair stated, “The endorsement from Foreign Policy for America marks a pivotal moment in my campaign for representation in Congress, highlighting the experience needed to address global challenges. From Armenia to Gaza, we need more peace and less war. We need a new generation of progressive foreign policy leadership in Congress and I’m the only one with the experience on the global stage to deliver results.”

Recently, Ratevosian released plans for his American Dream Act, outlining ways he will support the Los Angeles community locally and at the national level.
