Former Biden State Department Advisor, Rep. Barbara Lee Legislative Director, LGBTQI+ Advocate Announces Fundraising Haul For Congressional Race In Hometown District
On Friday, June 30, Dr. Jirair Ratevosian announced that his candidacy continues to receive an outpouring of support from a diverse coalition, boasting a fundraising total of more than $100,000 in the first month of his campaign. This early success not only highlights Jirair’s dedication to representing the needs of his community, but also underscores the overwhelming support and enthusiasm for his candidacy.
As the son of Armenian immigrants, and an openly gay public servant, Jirair brings needed representation and generational change to a diverse district that celebrates having the largest Armenian community in the United States.
“I am truly humbled by the overwhelming support and generosity we have received in the first month of our campaign,” said Dr. Jirair Ratevosian. “This milestone reflects the belief that our supporters share in our goals of creating opportunities for everyone to achieve their American dream. With this level of support, I am more committed than ever to be the voice of all communities and advocate for the issues that matter most to us all.”
Jirair’s ability to meet his first quarter fundraising goal demonstrates his exceptional leadership qualities, early test of viability, and ability to build a broad coalition of individuals that reflects the diversity of California’s 30th District. From small-dollar donations to larger contributions, every contribution represents a vote of confidence in Jirair Ratevosian’s vision and the promise of an inclusive, progressive future.
“I am ready to serve on DAY ONE,” stated Jirair Ratevosian. “I will use my experience to bring different communities together to make the government more responsive to our needs. I am running for Congress to bring my federal and lived experience to the table, and to bring my record of solving complex challenges to fight for bipartisan and progressive solutions for our community.”
